Christian Bible

The bible is a collection of books, accepted by Christians as sacred and inspired by God, providing the basis for beliefs about spiritual matters and providing guidelines for moral living. Bible is the word of God. It is the work of its many different human authors. Bible is divided into two parts i.e. old testament and new testaments.

The new testaments books were originally written as letters rather than as scriptures. The human authors works can be seen in different writing skills, writing styles, personalities and world views. Some authors also include their research and recollection of historical events and their own opinion Luke 1:1-4. Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us. Just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye witness and servant of the word. Therefore since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent. Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

The Old Testament is the first in Christian Bible containing sacred writing of Jews. It includes narration of events that occurred many centuries earlier and had been passed from generation to generation in oral form. It is originally written in Hebrew language only few sections written in the Aramaic languages. It tells us about at tribe God chose as his own people. The name of the tribe is Hebrew, but later they were changed as Israelites or Jews. This is after God made a covenant with a man named Abraham to make his descendants a great nation. Due to famine in their own land, few of these descendants immigrated to Egypt. Due to security of Egyptian due to increase of his chosen people of God, the Egyptians enslaved them.
It was until God sent a great leader and prophet, Moses to lead the Hebrews out of captivity and into the promised land of Israel. God gave Moses ten commandment to guild this chosen people of God and is still considered the basis for a moral life by both Jews and Christians.

The second book in Christian bible is new testaments. It contains sacred books that are unique to Christianity. It is originally written in Greek language. It is read at church services for instruction in the faith of Christian. It has 27 books which form the present New Testament, along with the Old Testament books, became the Christian bible as know today.
