Christian Bible

The bible is a collection of books, accepted by Christians as sacred and inspired by God, providing the basis for beliefs about spiritual matters and providing guidelines for moral living. Bible is the word of God. It is the work of its many different human authors. Bible is divided into two parts i.e. old testament and new testaments.

The new testaments books were originally written as letters rather than as scriptures. The human authors works can be seen in different writing skills, writing styles, personalities and world views. Some authors also include their research and recollection of historical events and their own opinion Luke 1:1-4. Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us. Just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye witness and servant of the word. Therefore since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent. Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

The Old Testament is the first in Christian Bible containing sacred writing of Jews. It includes narration of events that occurred many centuries earlier and had been passed from generation to generation in oral form. It is originally written in Hebrew language only few sections written in the Aramaic languages. It tells us about at tribe God chose as his own people. The name of the tribe is Hebrew, but later they were changed as Israelites or Jews. This is after God made a covenant with a man named Abraham to make his descendants a great nation. Due to famine in their own land, few of these descendants immigrated to Egypt. Due to security of Egyptian due to increase of his chosen people of God, the Egyptians enslaved them.
It was until God sent a great leader and prophet, Moses to lead the Hebrews out of captivity and into the promised land of Israel. God gave Moses ten commandment to guild this chosen people of God and is still considered the basis for a moral life by both Jews and Christians.

The second book in Christian bible is new testaments. It contains sacred books that are unique to Christianity. It is originally written in Greek language. It is read at church services for instruction in the faith of Christian. It has 27 books which form the present New Testament, along with the Old Testament books, became the Christian bible as know today.

Christian Worship

Christian worship is when the worshippers moved out of this world spiritually as people sing songs to God, eyes closed hands raised up in the air and heads back. It is a time when we sing to God wherever we are. It depend on desire to please God not minding where you are or people involved.

Praised and worship music is a great tool for helping us feel closer to God. Music affects our emotions and the lyrics can swell our hearts causing us to become lost in the experience. When people worship God with all their heart, the spirit of God comes and cover every where with the glory of God. Often people will emerge from a service saying the worship was wonderful today or the sermon was great but I was really moved by the worship.

Christian worship show relevance and gratitude by bowing down before GOD. In the book of Nehemiah 8:6 we read about a man called Ezra who praised the Lord, the great God, and all the people lifted their hands and responded Amen! Amen! Then they bowed down and worshiped the lord with their faces to the ground. Both singing and bowing down are acts of worship, but they are only part of the picture. Christian worship is so much more than that.

Christian believes it is only God who deserves to be worshipped. The bible makes it plain that there is only one God worthy of our worship. Christian worship is clearly of interest to God. He being God can handle the weight of being worshipped. Deuteronomy 6; 13-14 Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. do not follow other gods, the gods of the people around you for the lord your God who is among you is a jealous God his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. Let us give our God his worship. Let us worship him in truth and he is faithful to uplift us in time of distress.

Christian Ministry

A ministry is a service to God to other people in Christ name. It is a Greek word diakoneo meaning to serve. Jesus was a minister, who came not to receive service but to give it. Mark 10:45 For even the son of man did not come to e served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Christian are to minister to others out of their devotion to Christ and their love for others. Whether the other people are believers, or unbelievers ministry to others should be impartial and unconditional always seeking to help others as Jesus would. All Christians should be in ministry of helping others 2Timothy 2:24-26. And the Lords servant must not quarrel, instead, he must be kind to everyone able to teach, not resentful. Today’s church call pastors ministers to full time service. Pastors do minister to others and they can rightly be designated as ministers, but pastors are not the only ones who are to be involved in ministry. We are all workers with Christ.

Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others so they can come to know him and receive him as personal saviour is a great ministry Colossians 2: 6-7 so then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to leave in him rooted and built up in him strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness. Ministry should include ministering to the physical emotional, mental, vocational and financial needs of others. Jesus did and so we should do. Let all Christian join hand together and serve his people in love. That is ministry and you are a minister.
